IonSuite — ionshell and ionedit

IonSuite is a text desktop and a code editor for the terminal, both written in Reef. They share one config layout under /etc/ion and ~/.ion.

ionshell

A full-screen text desktop that you set as your login shell.

• Terminal windows with scrollback, each with minimize, maximize and close buttons.
• Built-in apps: Terminal, Processes, a Files manager, and Performance, with live CPU, RAM and load gauges. Help, then System Information, lists the machine's details.
• An application catalog and switchable themes.
• Full mouse support, including wheel scrolling and right-click menus.
• Works with ssh and scp. Started with -c, it hands off to your regular Unix shell.

ionedit

A windowed text editor for the terminal, built on ReefVision.

• Syntax highlighting for Reef and about 16 other languages, including C/C++, Python, shell, TOML, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and YAML. You add a language with a TOML file.
• Color schemes including Dracula, One Dark, Tokyo Night, Gruvbox and Catppuccin.
• Several files open at once, each in its own window.
• Find and replace, cut, copy and paste, and keyboard selection.
• Asks before closing a file with unsaved changes.
• Opens files straight from ionshell's file manager.
